At 9 am. the libertarian Cato Institute sponsors two panel discussion marking publication of its new book, Overcharged: Why Americans Pay Too Much for Health Care. Speakers represent a broad range of perspectives (from former CMS administrator Andy Slavitt to University of Texas’s Charles Silver). The first panel is called “Misdiagnosis: The Problems Congress Has Ignored,” and the second is “Mistreatment: Why Obamacare Failed and WHat Will Succeed.” Deputy HHS Secrtary Eric Hargan gives the keynote.
