Trust for America’s Health, a D.C.-based nonpartisan, nonprofit organization focused on community disease prevention policies will be releasing its annual state-by-state report on preparedness for health emergencies and will hold a press conference with media to discuss its findings.
WHAT: Press briefing conference call to release Ready or Not? Protecting the Public from Diseases, Disasters and Bioterrorism which includes a report card for how well states scored on 10 indicators of high priority areas and concerns, such as vaccination rates, climate change readiness, public health funding and more.
Some topics include the 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season and other natural disasters, Zika, Superbugs and antibiotic resistance, Healthcare-associated Infections and the Flu. The report also features detailed recommendations and key priorities. The report will be released by the Trust for America’s Health.
