The National Indian Health Board hosts its 33rd annual conference, this year focusing on “Achieving and Sustaining Quality Health Care in Indian Country.”
The event, in Scottsdale, Arizona, includes sessions on substance abuse and mental health, trauma, youth outreach and community aid.
Other sessions will focus on health disparities research, tobacco use, indigenous foods, diabetes and more. (See the draft agenda here.) Mary Smith, acting director of the Indian Health Service, is a confirmed keynote speaker.
