National Summit on Evidence-Based Caregiver Interventions

More than 250 health care professionals, social service workers, administrators, policy makers and caregiving advocates will participate in this national summit hosted by the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving and Georgia Southwestern State University.

The first day will be divided into five major sessions designed to examine the challenges of dissemination/translation in caregiver interventions in

  • Alzheimer's
  • Cancer
  • Transition Care
  • Rural caregiving
  • A fifth session will be a panel discussion that will synthesize the information presented and discuss specific challenges and issues in dissemination of evidence-based caregiving interventions; e.g. workforce development, funding, legislation, etc.

Summit participants will work collaboratively to develop an action plan to frame the work of the National Quality Care Network over the next year. The plan will emphasize concrete strategies to support the development and dissemination of evidence-based caregiving practices. A formal monograph summarizing the issues and action steps will be prepared and disseminated.
