The National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) hosts a one-day public workshop to consider issues related to how incarceration impacts mental health and substance use disorder, life expectancy and communities. The Philadelphia-based event, entitled “The Effects of Incarceration on the Health and Well-Being of People and Communities of Color,” will not be webcast but a report from the roundtable discussion will be posted online later.
