Dec. 23 is the last day consumers who do not have Medicare or employer-sponsored insurance have to enroll for health insurance online if they expect to be enrolled in a plan under the Affordable Care Act on Jan. 1, 2014.
Note: This date was pushed back from the original date of Dec. 15 as a result of the technical problems people experienced signing up through the marketplaces.
