Every four years, the Journal of the American Medical Association and the British Medical Journal host an International Congress on Peer Review and Biomedical Publication. This year, journal editors and publishers and researchers from around the world will gather to discuss how best to increase the quality and credibility of their publications. According to the press release, this year's conference will include discussions on "Authorship and ghost writing, conflicts of interest, editorial decisions and peer review, ethical concerns, publication bias, "spin" on study results, clinical trial registration, quality of biomedical publication (and) postpublication concerns."
For more information or to register, see the conference website or email mediarelations@jama-archives.org.
