 Web briefing for journalists

Dec. 18, 12:30-1:30 p.m. ET

On Jan. 1, the ACA’s employer mandate goes into effect, requiring large employers to offer health insurance to workers or face penalties. During this web briefing exclusively for journalists, Gary Claxton and Larry Levitt, co-executive directors of the Kaiser Family Foundation’s Program for the Study of Health Reform and Private Insurance, will discuss how the penalties will work, what options employers have for meeting the mandate, how employers might respond, and how these provision could affect coverage and costs for employers and workers.

They will also address the possible implications for employers of King vs. Burwell, which the U.S. Supreme Court added to its decision docket last month. Also, Claxton and Levitt will take questions. To register, journalists can RSVP online. Each participant will get a confirmation email with information about how to join the briefing.
