Medicare and Medicaid cuts, the health reform law, EHR, GME, patient safety, mergers, profits, losses, the ER. These are some of the many topics health journalists deal with in covering hospitals.
Come meet with representatives of some of the major national hospital advocacy organizations, including the American Hospital Association, the Association of American Medical Colleges and the National Association of Public Hospitals.
You’ll get face time with the leading voices behind the organizations to learn about major issues the different types of hospitals are facing on Capitol Hill and in their communities. You’ll also learn the best way to get information from the hospital industry and how to contact them for stories.
