The FTC will host "From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?," a free two-day event with workshops geared toward "journalists, privacy experts, direct marketers, online advertisers, academics, and consumer advocates." The workshops will explore new economic models for journalism, online advertising and any changes the government can make in regulations or tax code to facilitate such things.
The event is open to the public and will be webcast simultaneously. The agenda has not been updated yet, but this RSS feed will keep you abreast of new developments. For more information, or to pre-register or file a comment, visit the workshop's Web site.
