First Focus Poverty & Child Development Briefing

Child advocacy group First Focus holds a briefing to discuss on child and intergenerational poverty.

The Washington. D.C., briefing, co-hosted along with The National Prevention Science Coalition to Improve Lives (NPSC), and Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center at Pennsylvania State University, will give an overview of this issue as well as address “interventions, strategies, and policies to prevent or reduce childhood poverty.”

Speakers include Partnership for America’s Children Network Director Deborah Stein and First Focus President Bruce Lesley as well as experts from University of South Carolina’s Parenting & Family Research Center and Brigham Young University’s Department of Sociology.

The event will be held at the American Psychological Association.
