In an open meeting, the FDA's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee will discuss and recommend strains of the influenza virus to be included in the vaccine to be distributed in the upcoming flu season. The committee will also consider adding a second B strain to the current season's vaccination as well as "the conducting of clinical studies of pandemic influenza vaccine in the pediatric population in the absence of an influenza pandemic."
