The Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy holds a day-long workshop on at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. to examine safe opioid prescribing and use amid the current epidemic. The event, entitled “Strategies for Promoting the Safe Use and Appropriate Prescribing of Prescription Opioids,” is being held as part of a cooperative agreement with the Food and Drug Administration as part of its effort to reduce opioid misuse.
