Seeds of Native Health: A Campaign for Indigenous Nutrition holds its first annual conference on Native American nutrition aimed at showcasing “innovative work being done in Indian country to improve Native American nutrition.”
More than 30 experts in Indigenous food, nutrition and health will be featured, including representatives from the University of Hawaii, the University of Oklahoma, the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and more.
The event, sponsored by Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community and the University of Minnesota’s Health Foods, Health Lives Institute, will be held in Prior Lake, Minn.
