The Committee on Strategies for Responsible Sharing of Clinical Trial Data will hold an open public session to hear from invited speakers and the public. Meeting discussion will inform the development of an interim report to be released in January 2014.

The objectives of the open session are to: (a) discuss guiding principles that underpin responsible sharing of clinical trial data and (b) characterize a selected set of data and data sharing activities (to clarify definitions and develop a shared nomenclature).

On Oct. 22, the committee will receive the charge from its sponsors during an open session from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Eastern). Because space is limited, members of the public are invited to attend this open session via WebEx. Please email DataSharing@nas.edu for more information.

Provide your input to the Committee on Strategies for Responsible Sharing of Clinical Trial Data

The committee encourages all interested persons to submit written testimony to DataSharing@nas.edu. Written testimony that is submitted by COB to October 17, 2013 will be included in the committee’s meeting briefing books, whether or not the submitter testifies in person. The committee asks all written testimony relate to the above objectives, to inform the committee’s interim report (described here).

The committee will hold additional public sessions after the release of the interim report to hear public comment on the interim report and on other topics relevant to the remaining content of its charge (see full statement of task here).
