The Rural Health Information consortium holds an one hour-long webinar to discuss a recent federal government report regarding health disparities in rural America. Speakers include Cara James, head of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Office of Minority Health and co-chair of CMS Rural Health Council and Jeffrey Hall, deputy associate director for Science Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Office of Minority Health & Health Equity. James, Hall and others authored a recent report, Racial/Ethnic Health Disparities Among Rural Adults – United States, 2012-2015 that examined health disparities among rural racial and ethnic groups.
