The California HealthCare Foundation will hold a briefing to discuss the safeguarding of health data in terms of both state standards and HIPAA as well as changes in the area created by recent stimulus legislation. Speakers will include Deven McGraw, J.D., director of the Health Privacy Project at the Center for Democracy and Technology, and Jonah Frohlich, M.P.H., deputy secretary of health information technology with the California Health and Human Service Agency.
