Atul Gawande will speak at this session of the NIH Director's 2008-2009 Wednesday Afternoon Lecture Series. Lectures are viewable live on the Web.
Gawande is the author of "Better: A Surgeon's Notes on Performance," as well as a columnist for the New Yorker and an associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.
