The 31st annual Anxiety Disorders Association of America Conference is the premier professional meeting on the science and treatment of anxiety and anxiety-related disorders in adults and children. This year's conference will include more than 170 sessions focused on research and clinical care, as well as workshops.

Ethics of Addressing Trauma in the Media
Speakers at this session will include Elana Newman of the University of Tulsa and reporter John Pope of the New Orleans Times Picayune. Newman is research director of the Dart Center for Journalism & Trauma and McFarlin Chair of the Department of Psychology at University of Tulsa. She earned her doctorate degree in clinical psychology at Duke University. Topics addressed in the session will include:
- How clinicians and journalists can build proactive relationships.
- What makes a good source.
- Avoiding misquotes.
- Differing perspectives on interviewing survivors.
