The research shows, for example, that more than 66 percent of the U.S. population live in areas ACOs serve and more than 40 percent live in areas where two or more ACOs are operating. The research examines the current and historical number of ACOs, the number of covered beneficiaries for Medicare and commercial ACOs and geographic distribution.
