This focussed on the intersection between depression, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease for a Primary Care audience. There is an emerging, and not always well known, literature that indicates diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and depression and where one is present, the incidence of both of the others is increased. In addition, the presence of one may very well mask the presence of the others impacting negatively on treatment of both initial and underlying disorders. These are significant to the Primary Care Providers as the first line provider who is most likely to find these problems when they do occur.
