Obamacare Explained: A Guide for Californians

Early in the year, we noticed there was no central resource for Californians to find information about the Affordable Care Act as it was being implemented in our state. So we created a one-stop resource for all Californians — whether they’re uninsured, have employer-based insurance, buy on the individual market or are on Medicare or Medicaid. We also have sections specifically for immigrants and small business owners. The guide can be embedded, free of charge, by anyone. So far, several NPR affiliates in California have embedded the guide on their websites as have some nonprofits. Even an insurance agent embedded the guide on his site. In addition to content, we also spent a great deal of time on format, as we wanted the guide to be easy to navigate.
