These stories lead up to and follow the health care reform efforts in 2010 and highlight the numerous issues that important both to passage and to the effects on the various stakeholders.

These stories resulted from numerous expert interviews, examination of proposals for reform and original small surveys of experts to rate the effectiveness of the reform act in meeting specific goals.

These stories resulted from numerous expert interviews, examination of proposals for reform and original small surveys of experts to rate the effectiveness of the reform act in meeting specific goals.

The goal was to better inform the public and policy makers about reform efforts and provisions and the result of these reforms, and I accomplished that goal.

8. Advice to other journalists planning a similar story or project.

Talk to real people and to the experts. Always look at a completed piece of legislation and challenge whether it met its initial goal from the perspective of multiple stakeholders.
