My beat and that of the LDI Health Economist eMagazine is the world of health services research — the academics whose findings of scientific fact so often inform and drive health policy change but whose activities remain largely unknown to the outside world. One goal of the LDI Health Economist is to report on the people, events, issues and most noteworthy areas of scientific inquiry within that health services research community. Another goal is to make this reporting as relevant and compelling as possible for the broad consumer, business and institutional audiences that are so keenly interested in the sweeping changes occuring throughout all levels of the nation’s health care system.
