JoAnne Young, reporter, Lincoln (Neb.) Journal Star:

Which was your main purpose to be part of this conference?
In my job, covering the state house and the legislature and the governor, I have done a lot of health care reform stories, so I’m quite interested in getting more information about that, and we have gotten that information because Massachusetts has had experience in this, so people can talk about it. I was very interested in hearing the governor last night and his take on it, and then also today the Health Policy talks, sessions that were given today.

What has been your favorite session so far?
Yesterday [there] was one about social media, and you know, as brand reporters, and I have been doing this for more than 20 years, I have [had] to do a lot of that for the last two years, so they give us very good websites to go to, good tips and things that I will take home with me and remember to be committed, so I tweet during the session mostly when there’s something going on, but I don’t do it necessarily every day, so I will be more committed to do it every day.

What else do you expect from this conference?
I expect to gain some sources and meet some people that I can correspond with to do the same kind of things they do. … It’s a great experience and it’s a kind of inspiration for me.
