As a member of Health Journalism 2009's panel on "The state of Native American health" Thomas Sweeney (public affairs director, Indian Health Service) presented reporters with "An overview of the Indian health system." In it, Sweeney explains the structure and history of the Indian Health Service as well as some of its new initiatives for health promotion and disease prevention.
