Catherine Karr: Climate change, air quality and health: A study and some other comments

Catherine Karr (M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor, pediatrics; adjunct assistant professor, environmental and occupational health sciences; University of Washington School of Medicine and School of Public Health) came to Health Journalism 2009's "Effects of global climate change on health" panel to deliver a presentation titled "Climate change, air quality and health: A study and some other comments." Karr's presentation covers the dangers posed by decreases in air quality (as a result of climate change) which could potentially lead to increases in asthma, respiratory infections and lung and cardiovascular diseases.
