Amanda Hinnant (assistant professor, magazine journalism, University of Missouri) joined the "Health literacy: Does the public understand you?" panel at Health Journalism 2009 to share the results of her research in a presentation titled "A survey of health journalists about the concept of health literacy." Hinnant's survey covered reporter's knowledge of health literacy, the most commonly used sources for different subjects and the implications of her findings.
