
Michele Cohen Marill is a freelance reporter whose work has appeared in MindSite News, Health Affairs, WIRED.com, WebMD, STAT and Kaiser Health News, among other publications. She is a contributing writer for Atlanta magazine and contributing editor for Georgia Trend magazine. While her coverage varies from articles about medical breakthroughs to the impact of health inequities, her overriding goal remains the same: to tell stories that matter and to share the experiences of people who face life-altering health challenges. She received a 2020 Association of Health Care Journalists International Health Study Fellowship, and she is AHCJ’s Board Secretary. Her Atlanta magazine article on the resegregation of schools was part of a special issue recognized as a 2009 National Magazine Award finalist for single-topic issue.
