Melody Morgan

Development Officer

Morgan joins AHCJ as its first development officer. She will work to streamline the organization’s development activities with the goal of diversifying revenue and increasing philanthropic support. Morgan will create and execute a fundraising strategy that builds on the strong partnerships AHCJ has developed over the years. She brings 13 years of experience in development and has raised more than $13 million in support of nonprofit programs, operations and capital projects. Morgan most recently served as the vice president of grants and contracts for the Child Abuse Prevention Association and as the chief development officer for the Emmanuel Family & Child Development Center. She also taught as an adjunct professor for the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare for four years, where she earned a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis in nonprofit administration. Morgan was also selected for the yearlong Central Exchange Emerging Leaders program for women in 2020.
