Volatile organic compound (VOC)

  • Environmental Health

Volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, are gasses emitted into the air from a variety of products or processes. Some are harmful by themselves and have the potential to cause long-term health detriments. Some VOCs can react with other gasses and form other air pollutants like ozone, one of the most widespread outdoor air pollutants in the U.S.
