Semiautomatic rifle

  • Firearm Violence

A semiautomatic rifle is a weapon designed to be fired from the shoulder and shoots a single bullet with each pull of the trigger. They use a portion of the energy from the cartridge being fired to load the next round into the chamber, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. They are made of different materials, including wood, metals and polymers, and fire rounds of varying calibers.
