Data stewardship includes all aspects of data: creating it, storing it, archiving it, etc. It encompasses knowing what data an organization possesses, understanding where it is located, ensuring it’s accessible and safe, enforcing rules and regulations on how it can be used, and helping the organization make the most of its data for research, patient care, etc.
