COVID-19 infection

  • COVID-19

This term means that someone has the symptomatic disease that is named COVID-19. There are numerous symptoms of COVID-19. To name a few, they include: cough, headache, fatigue and/or fever. COVID-19 is caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2, however not everyone who is infected with the virus gets sick. Some people who test positive for SARS-CoV-2019 do not develop a COVID-19 infection. Journalists should be careful in their writing to say that the virus infects people, not COVID-19, which is the disease.
