DESCRIPTION:Monkeypox cases have now been confirmed in more than a dozen U.S. states. SciLine’s next media briefing will cover: science basics about the virus that causes Monkeypox\, including transmission dynamics and current U.S. case spread; prevention and treatment options\, including existing vaccines and their limitations; and lessons learned from COVID-19 and other outbreaks that can inform the country’s public health response to Monkeypox. \nFeatured experts include three scientists: Dr. Anne Rimoin of the University of California\, Los Angeles; Dr. Inger Damon of the CDC.  Dr. Amira Roess of George Mason University.
