Health Journalism 2013: AHCJ-Missouri Health Journalism Fellowships
Need financial assistance to attend Health Journalism 2013, the national conference of the Association of Health Care Journalists?
Thanks to the Missouri Foundation for Health's generous support, AHCJ will be able to grant a number of professional fellowships and student fellowships for the conference in Boston.
Fellowships are open to full-time Missouri print, broadcast and online journalists and part-timers or freelancers who derive the majority of their income from journalism. The student fellowships are open to full-time college or university students studying journalism or mass communication in Missouri.
Fellowships include:
- all conference registration fees
- a year's membership in the AHCJ (new or extended)
- up to four nights in the conference hotel (Wed.-Sat.)
- $400 towards travel
In an effort to help journalists in all size markets across the state, at least half of the fellowships will be awarded to journalists working outside the St. Louis and Kansas City metro areas.
If selected for a fellowship, you will be assigned a story to write about one of the conference sessions to be posted during the conference.
The application deadline was Wednesday, Jan. 23.
If you have questions, please contact Ev Ruch-Graham, training coordinator, ev@healthjournalism.org or 573-884-8103.
