Health Journalism 2013: AHCJ-Ethnic Media Health Journalism Fellowships
Need financial assistance to attend Health Journalism 2013, the national conference of the Association of Health Care Journalists?
Thanks to the Leona M. & Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust's generous support, AHCJ will be able to grant a number of professional fellowships for the conference in Boston.
Fellowships are open to full-time journalists who work at one of the nation's ethnic media outlets – print, broadcast or online. Ethnic media is defined here as serving a predominantly minority or ethnic audience.
To assist as many journalists as possible, travel assistance will vary based on location.
Fellowships include:
- all conference registration fees
- a year's membership in AHCJ (new or extended)
- up to four nights in the conference hotel (Wed.-Sat.)
- travel assistance will vary
If selected for a fellowship, you will be assigned a story to write about one of the conference sessions to be posted during the conference.
The application deadline was Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Note: Fellowships only include travel within the United States.
