AHCJ Freelance Travel Scholarship

Through the use of repatriated international royalties from its membership in the Authors Coalition of America, AHCJ is able to provide assistance this year to freelance journalists wishing to attend AHCJ’s annual conference.

Scholarships are open to freelancers who derive the majority of their income from journalism and are current members of AHCJ. If not already an AHCJ member, applicants should qualify for the professional membership category. [Review qualifications.] Preference will go to freelance members from states without an existing state-oriented fellowship.

If selected for a fellowship, you may be asked to write an AHCJ website blog post, take pictures or shoot video of a conference session.

Scholarship includes:

• Up to four nights complimentary at the conference hotel. AHCJ will make your hotel reservations.

• Up to $400 for travel expenses. Reimbursement post-conference by expense report and bill.com.

Please note: This may not cover ALL travel costs. Those selected will be responsible for registration and membership fees.
