December 20, 2023

In our 2021 AHCJ member survey, you told us AHCJ's website could use some work. You also said you wanted a chance to mentor the next generation of health care journalists and more resources for covering climate and the environment.

We took all of that feedback and used it to better serve you — our members. We built a new AHCJ website, launched a mentorship program, grew our environmental health resources, and so much more.

Now, we want to hear from you again.

We want to understand what you need from AHCJ to improve the quality, accuracy and visibility of your reporting. Whether it’s expanding our fellowship offerings, challenging misinformation or building the next generation of health care reporters, we want to hear from you.

The member survey should take 12 minutes to complete and will provide valuable feedback on our engagement efforts, events, fellowships and other resources. Plus, complete the survey and you'll be entered to win one of two complimentary registrations for Health Journalism 2024, happening June 6-9, 2024, in New York.

We appreciate you and value your feedback!

Cheers!

Celebrate journalistic excellence — become a judge!

The 2023 Awards for Excellence in Health Care Journalism are open and accepting entries, and AHCJ seeks the help of journalism educators and professionals to help us recognize the best health reporting in print, broadcast and online media for 2023. We are proud to say this contest is by journalists, for journalists and is not funded by any outside organizations. The vital work done by our judges goes a long way in ensuring these awards continue to be so respected.

If you are interested in helping as a judge, please take a moment to visit this form and submit your response. Also, please let us know if you have any time restrictions or are otherwise unavailable for either round.

If you are available to help as a judge, first-round entries will go to judging teams in early March and second-round in mid- to late March, depending on your availability and preference.
