Briefing: Survey of health care benefit costs and plan changes at large employers
08/28/13 Washington, DC
The National Business Group on Health will host a press briefing on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 10:00 a.m. EDT at the National Press Club to discuss the results of its annual survey of large employers on health care benefit costs and changes they are making to their programs in the wake of economic uncertainty and rising costs.
Helen Darling, President and CEO of the National Business Group on Health, will reveal projected health care benefit costs increases for 2014 and how employers are revising their benefit plan designs for next year, including cost sharing arrangements, consumer directed plans, and wellness programs and their views on the role of health insurance exchanges in providing employee populations access to health care. Helen will also preview this year’s open enrollment season and what employees can expect to see when they receive their benefit packages for 2014.
The survey, “Large Employers’ 2014 Health Plan Design Changes,” is one of the few surveys conducted in mid-year just as employers are finalizing their programs for the following year.
