Save the date! April 23, 2007
The kickoff meeting of the Chicago chapter of the Association of Health Care Journalists will be Monday, April 23, at 5:30 p.m., at Columbia College, 33 E. Congress, Chicago (northwest corner of Congress and Wabash).
The speaker is Daniel Levinson, inspector general for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, who will discuss that agency's oversight of HHS' spending, as well his office's quality and fraud initiatives. Levinson will take questions after his brief talk, which will be followed by a reception with refreshments (wine, beer, soda, snacks).
Admission is free and open to working health care journalists and students. We hope a Chicago chapter will give opportunities to network with colleagues and deepen understanding of issues and trends. We also hope to have fun!
Thanks to the Columbia College journalism department for providing the space.
