Philadelphia-area members of the Association of Health Care Journalists can learn about an international cancer information resource based in our own backyard.
Join us Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at 7:30 pm, at 3535 Market St, Mezzanine, Ste. 60, to meet James M. Metz, M.D., and Maggie Hampshire, R.N., B.S.N., O.C.N., the editor-in-chief and managing editor respectively of OncoLink, the oldest and largest cancer information resource on the Internet founded in 1994 by University of Pennsylvania cancer specialists.
Metz and Hampshire will discuss how to find comprehensive information about specific types of cancer, updates on cancer treatments, and news about research advances, on this free-to-the-public resource produced by physicians and nurses at Penn's Abramson Cancer Center.
The meeting is complimentary to all AHCJ members, working health care journalists, and journalism students, but registration is limited, so please contact Eric Rosenthal at etrosenthal@verizon.net or 610-649-1375 by Jan. 2.
