Preparing for Flu Season and Preventing Another Pandemic

The Alliance for Health Policy, in partnership with the Coalition to Stop Flu, is hosting a webinar to discuss flu season preparedness. This briefing will explore:

  • The similarities and differences between the season flu and COVID-19

  • How flu and the COVID-19 pandemic have intersected over the past 18 months

  • Available federal policy levers and policy strategies to improve our flu response.

Panelists include: Thomas A. Daschle, former U.S. Senator and member of Coalition to Stop Flu; Jennifer Pool Miller, of Families Fighting Flu; Anand Parekh, M.D., of the Bipartisan Policy Center; and L.J. Tan, M.S., Ph.D., of National Adult and Influenza Immunization Summit. The panel will be moderated by Amesh A. Adalja, M.D., of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.
