This intensive boot camp brings the 2008-09 Midwest Health Journalism Program fellows together with top health care journalists for in-depth sessions on how to report on specific health care issues, including:

- Digging into hospital finances
- Web journalism primer
- Investigating the health of local nursing homes
- Reading medical studies
- Introduction to a medical library
