Independent journalists Meryl Davids Landau and Rachele Hendricks-Sturrup have launched a new South Florida chapter of the Association of Health Care Journalists. Our aim is to create social events and programming for health care journalists in the area (whether you report on health policy, wellness, specific medical conditions, alternative medicine…).
Our last meet-and-greet in Hollywood saw a number of last minute cancellations due to work obligations, so we are experimenting with a Saturday brunch this time. Since many of the journalists who have expressed the most interest in getting together are in Miami, this event is being held there. If you’re coming from the north (as Meryl is), let us know and we might be able to help you arrange a carpool.
AHCJ will pay for the first $10 of your food or coffee. You do not have to be a member of AHCJ to attend any of our events.
