We’ve completed our “punch lists” and checked them twice and after a year filled with talk about exchanges, cancellations and repeal, it’s time for you to grab your in-person assistor and navigate your way to:
The Association of Health Care Journalists’ DC Chapter Annual Holiday Networking Party
The gathering will be 6-8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at The National Journal offices at The Watergate (600 New Hampshire Ave. NW).
There’s no formal program but a chance to network with some new and old(er) health journalists and a few invited guests. AHCJ and a few of your colleagues will supply the craft beer, wine and light food. The National Journal has been kind enough to offer their space. We can guarantee “the vast majority of” guests will have fun.

National Journal is located in the Watergate building at 600 New Hampshire Ave NW, next to the Kennedy Center across from the Saudi Arabian embassy. If you walk in the main doors and make a left, you will see the elevators. The party is on the 8th floor in the common area, but after-hours access requires someone to scan in to start the elevator. We'll have someone in the lobby to greet & get people upstairs. Please plan to arrive no later than 7.
Driving:
The building is accessible by two parking garages, the Watergate and the Kennedy Center.
Metro:
Foggy Bottom is the closest Metro station. When exiting the station, walk in the opposite direction of the restaurants (Circa, Whole Foods, Devon & Blakely) toward New Hampshire and make a left. Go straight down New Hampshire and around the traffic circle in the direction of the Kennedy Center. It's a 7-10 minute walk.
