Susan Milstrey Wells began her career as a journalist and has written about health and mental health care for the past 30 years. She has produced a wide range of materials, from interviews with health care experts to speeches, blog posts, and reports to Congress. She has a particular interest in the social determinants of health and early life trauma and how they impact an individual’s behavioral and physical health. Ms. Wells is deadline drive and detail oriented and an expert interviewer. She is the author of A Delicate Balance: Living Successfully with Chronic Illness (Perseus Books, 2000).
