Bio

I write on medicine, health care and social issues for publications, nonprofit organizations, hospitals, universities, think tanks and others. I’ve written for the Center for Health Care Strategies, Columbia University Dept. of Psychiatry, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, The New York Community Trust, Sidney Kimmel Medical College/Thomas Jefferson University, AAMCNews, Georgetown Univ. McCourt School of Public Policy and Walsh School of Foreign Service, Geisinger, Next Avenue, Rutgers University, Arcadia University — and many national and regional publications. My work includes articles, reports, profiles, web content, books, ghostwriting and more. In 2018, I received an ASJA (Amer. Society of Journalists and Authors) award for my AAMCNews article on patient bigotry toward doctors. The third edition of my nonfiction book on acquaintance rape and date rape was published in 2019. I write for publications and organizations throughout the U.S. and beyond, and volunteer with a local food pantry.
