Bio

As AHCJ’s core topics leader on aging, Liz Seegert is leading the effort to help journalists cover the complexities of aging through her blog posts, tip sheets, and other resources. In addition to the aging beat, she also covers boomers, and health policy, and other stories across the health care spectrum — from women’s health to social determinants to chronic disease. Her background includes stints as a radio reporter and writer in Boston, as an associate producer/writer for local TV in New York City, and for the past 20 years, as a freelancer for writer/reporter. Some of her many print and digital media bylines include Next Avenue, Kaiser Health News, Consumer Reports, Connecticut Health I-Team, Stria News, Cancer Today, The Journal of Active Aging, Medical Economics and the BMJ. Her stories have also been syndicated in Forbes, The Los Angeles Times, and the PBS News Hour online.  (@lseegert)
