KOPN, freelance writer and radio host
I’m a Registered Dietitian, writer, speaker and nationally syndicated radio host, a.k.a. the Food Sleuth®. I have more than 35 years of experience in clinical, academic, and public health nutrition, but a Kellogg Food and Society Policy Fellowship enabled me to truly connect the dots between food, health and agriculture. I am dedicated to applying critical thinking skills to food and farming media messages, and promoting “food system literacy.” I try to raise awareness about social and environmental issues in our larger food system, and the impact of our food choices on personal and public health. My work can be summed up in one word: “EAT:” Education, Advocacy, and Translating nutrition, health and agriculture research to improve quality of life.
Food, nutrition, agriculture and public health; food system literacy.
